Mere Players

The Dreamers have only their wits and a few precious charms to ward off the cunning and malicious Fae, who are determined to trap them forever in a dreamworld for their twisted amusement.

The Fae have forced the Dreamers to perform in a play, a curious game of cat-and-mouse designed to make the Dreamers forget about reality. Will the Dreamers foil their plans, or will the Fae enslave them for eternity? You and your friends must decide.

Mere Players is a card-based acting game designed for four or more players. Two teams, the Dreamers and the Fae, improvise the plot of a play, using an arsenal of spells and charms to confound their opponents, while attempting all the while to trick them into saying certain words, called "Words of Power." Each time a player says a Word of Power, the other team gains 1 point of Will. The first team to 5 points wins the game.
